Employment
All members attending Assist Trust are given the chance to try out different work skills.
For those just starting out, this is often in the form of an internal job – such as sorting out the bins, sorting out the dishwasher or cleaning the tables before lunch – so that people have a chance at trying things out in a manageable way.
For those who are able to travel train and cope with the responsibilities of an external placement, the employment team provide support in a very gradual and consistent way, helping to find suitable work experience and paid opportunities in the local community working with local and national employers such as:
